On our hike

Our trip to pre-camp was a fun one. We do pre-camp here in Florida because with the heat and misquitos hear summer is too unbearable. So we do the tents and fire and everything else a weekend before camp. We left on a Friday and drove up to camp at Camp Olive up by Baker near Crestview. We arrived at our camp site and set up the tents and taught the girls to build a fire. It was then time for camp certifications. We watched the tin foil dinners so the girls could go to their certification events. Then they found time to come back to eat dinner and cobbler.

Come bedtime I believe us leaders had more fun than the girls who where scolding us for being to loud and laughing too much. ;) We stayed up talking and laughing far too late (what else would you expect). But Saturday started early with waking up the girls for the 6:30 am 5 mile hike. The girls all made it through the hike, even if they did whine and lag a bit. Then they got breakfast, and some fell alseep. We encouraged them to help pack up the camp. They didn't want to do the fun activities like shooting and zio-line so when we were packed up we went back home.
